The Section 7 Boys Native American Qualifier is open to high school teams from schools that serve Native American students and communities. To be eligible, a school must meet one of the following:
The school is operated by the Bureau of Indian Education or is a tribally controlled grant or contract school.
The school is a public or charter school located within the boundaries of a federally recognized tribal nation.
The school has a student enrollment that is at least 75 percent Native American, as shown by current Arizona Department of Education or NCES enrollment data.
Each school may register one team. Section 7 reserves the right to verify eligibility and to remove any team that doesn't meet these requirements.
Questions about eligibility can be sent to NativeTeams@Section7Basketball.com.
There is no fee to submit a team application.
The entry fee is due only after acceptance.
Teams that advance pay an additional Boys Weekend entry fee.
The application includes a separate “Is this a Native American or tribal school team?” question. Select “Yes” so the team is identified even if applying for Boys or Girls Weekend.
